Hot Weather

The chocolate we use on all our products doesn't contain any 'nasties' that's what makes it so delicious however it also means that it is at great risk of melting in hot weather. We keep an eye on the dial and ensure that orders placed during warmer months receive a little more attention.

If you place an order on a Friday, to avoid chocolate melting over the weekend in freight warehouses, we will pack and send your order the following Monday. If your area is experiencing extreme heat, we will hold off sending your order out and will notify you by email when it has been dispatched. Once your order has been sent you will receive an email notification which will allow you to track your deliveries progress all the way to your door.

We recommend having your delivery sent to a location where someone will be available to accept it.

Which of your items are Gluten Free?

Lots! Many of our classic slices including our Coconut and Dark Chocolate Slice, Classic Rocky Road, Almond and Choc Chip Slice are gluten free. If you are looking for something a little different don't forget to check out our seasonal ranges as many of these include gluten free items too.

Overall, we’re up for the challenge of gluten-free baking but taste always comes first. If we can’t make an unstoppable gluten-free version, then we won’t do it… But we will keep trying!

Do you use artificial colours or preservatives in your products?

We steer clear or artificial colours and preservatives and instead choose natural methods to ensure our products stay fantastically fresh….and tasty.

Where can I find nutritional information

Each treat we make has its own product page; you can find all nutritional information there. You can also not look…just saying!

Where do you source your ingredients from?

Springhill Farm has an Australia-first sourcing policy. We always try to use Australian ingredients, sourced as locally as possible. But sometimes we have to go a little further afield – for example there are no coconut suppliers in Australia, so we source ours from farmers in Sri Lanka. All our ingredients, wherever we source them come from suppliers that align with our sourcing policies both ethically and environmentally.

What products are suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans?

All our products are vegetarian (except Rocky Road, which is made with gelatine), and we have many all plant (vegan) options including our Coconut and Dark Chocolate slice, and Almond and Choc Chip slice..

In great news all of the flavours of our newest product boodles® are plant based; so you can set your snack conscious free.

We’re always experimenting and looking for ways to make our treats available to more people. If we can make a product all plant, without compromising on taste, we will.

Where are the products manufactured?

All our products are made in our fabulous factory in sunny Ballarat, Victoria. We are proudly 100% made in Australia and want to say a big and heartfelt thank-you to our amazing community that has supported us from day one.

We can’t process walk-in orders, but you can purchase items online and pick them up from our Ballarat factory location. We’ll make sure the products you want are in stock, your payment is processed, and your bundle of delights are waiting for you!

Who owns Springhill Farm?

Springhill Farm was started over 35 years ago by Jo and Ray from their family farm. Although times have changed, and we have grown as a business, we are still proudly 100% Australian owned and operated.

Do you use Genetically Modified Ingredients?

Our recipes don’t contain any genetically modified ingredients. However, as some of our ingredients cannot make a GM-free claim due to potential for cross-contact we don’t make a 100% GM-free claim across our range.
